Ride-on Shotblaster minimizes disruption at NHS car parks - APRIL 10
The Preparation Group’s model PPC1600 ride-on shotblaster/planer is the ideal solution for preparing large open areas. So much so, that it was selected by one of the NHS trusts to retexture floors and remove thermoplastic lines from its multi-storey car parks.
The machine was chosen, as the team at PPC was able to demonstrate that its quick set up, efficient operation and ability to multi task (from Shotblasting to planing operations) provided the high production rates necessary to allow the work to be completed outside of normal working hours, minimizing hospital disruption. Being self contained and engine driven with no trailing cables it can be easily moved to different levels.
The PPC1600’s multi-head design enables preparation; keying, cleaning and planing of a wide range of surfaces, saving time and costs. Heads can be changed in a matter of minutes.
Working speeds and operating widths can be adjusted easily, and production rates of up to 500m2/hr are achievable – double that of comparable machines.
Other applications for the PPC1600 include; reducing levels and producing anti-slip and grooving profiles, removal of sports surfaces, bitumen and waterproof membranes and preparation of steel to Swedish standard SA2½
