shotblasting equipment

Shotblasters

The method of shotblasting involves steel abrasive, or shot, being propelled at high velocity onto the designated surface to create an infinite range of profiles (textures).

You would select shotblasting to clean and texture concrete, asphalt or tiled surfaces, creating adhesion for the application of a wide range of surface finishes, to remove paints and sealants, to prepare steel, or to key bridge decks and roads for surface dressing and waterproof systems.

The level of profile is determined by the speed at which the machine is operated and the grade of steel abrasive selected. The debris is collected in the “collector” – a vacuum unit for disposal, and the shot reclaimed for continued use.

The Preparation Group offers a range of high performance, reliable and operator friendly shotblasting machines together with accessories & spares. The type and size of the machine selected will determine production rates achievable and degree of profiling required for the specified material to be applied.
